long time since i wrote here. Much have happend the last months, but not in the RC. i havent driven since begning february, its almost half a year! :O

But now i have decided i will attend Swedish Nationals Outdoors in August 6th.

I hope i will do well. I have planned a training session this weekend. Hopefully it goes well and smooth.

I wanna buy a new diff for my car, but i am not sure what model that fits. But anyway, i hopefully can get one fast before nats.

it would be better so i dont need to maintence the diff balls all the time.

My main focus is this winter season, where i am in focus to bring the throphys home. i was very close last season. So we will see.

hopefully i can bring you all a update very soon! tommorow i will go through my car so it is ready to drive on sunday

I havent updated my blog in a while. I didnt find any motivation for writing anything becuse nothing really happend here the last months.

But now i am back for some hardcore writing!

The 22 january i attended a race in Wäxjö MS. My weekend was very good and i TQ with 6 seconds ahead of the 2nd place man.

when the final 1 started i managed 2 laps and my differential broke.

And since i didnt have any spares for that part that broke my TQ was lost. But i look forward to my next race 12/2 in Gothenburg.

And hope i can bring victory home!

I hope i can update more this week. Very soon……

Whole last week the worlds in Pattaya, Thailand, was running gold!

We all in this buisness watched and followed it! I myself was very excited to see who would become the world champ. Becuse no one have yet claimed 2 world championships back to back. Atsushi Hara was a strong contender when he had TQ(Top Qualifier)for the finals.

But it was Cody King(USA) who had a nice fight with Atsushi Hara(Japan). The fight was amazing and the hype was over its epicness!

The finals was EPIC and hopefully we will see a new epic final 2012!

The competition in RC is so big and you can see here that no one have won twice.

I also went to my nearest track this sunday(yesterday) And practiced for the Nordic Championships that starts on Friday.

I did practice some laps anti clockwise and we do run clockwise at this track. And i gotta say i am amazed how fast i actually learned it. The track was like new to me.

I also changed my setup a little and it worked very well anti clockwise. And thats what i wanted it to.

So i am very thrilled for the weekend and i have some work to do! Prepare the car well and work on my homework i got for school.

This weekend i went to Borås to enter the first race of the season. I was very excited to see what improvemnts i have made since i raced last time.

And the result was very much! Of course i need ALOT more training. But i am still learning the car and what changes do what and etc.

At the moment i am at the stage where i feel i have confidence in my driving and feel like i have the controll of whats happening. And thats good!

Friday practice:

I managed to have 2 training runs and to my surprise my last one before i went home was bery good except some lack of concentration. I made some pretty good laps and felt very confident to today.

Saturday:

I started the day with a fast run before the controlled practice. And laso this time it felt good.

The controlled practice went good and i actually felt overconfident becuse i was just dominating my heat.

Qualification:

1: My first heat i was leading for a moment but then i lost concentration for couple of laps. Not good. Probably the effect of to little sleep i had. About 2 hours. 3rd this heat.

2: was even slower.

3: my rear drivebelt got cooked and i managed only one lap.

I wasnt satisfied at all. becuse i felt my 3rd quali would be better than my first one.

Finals:

1: I started in 7th place and i had 6 cars in front of me. My mission was to win the finals.

The satrt signal goes and i get away very fast. I see that i close up very fast to the man in front of me in the first turn. I cool down and being passive. Then i see some guys crash and i fast take my chance and put my car in 3rd place after 3 corners.

I start chasing the 2nd place man, probably couple of tenths. But then i make a mistake in one corner and i lost my position as i roll the car.

So i end up in 4th this heat.

2:Also this time i take the start. But this time i couldnt pass the man in front as easy as the first time. So i place my car about 2cm behind him and start to stress. Finally he makes a mistake and i pass. Now next target isnt far away. So i start pushing and manage to pick up the pace.

This time i do the same, put on some pressure. But this one was a hard one. he didnt feel any pressure so i wanted for him to make the smallest mistake OFF apex and pass him there. he was pretty robust, but i managed to get away safely anyway.

I ended up 3rd.

3: final was horrible as i got a hit from the man behind and that made it all worse for me. no comment.

Summary:

I am very satisfied with my day anyway. I didnt win, but i was surprised how good pace i had even when i made that many mistakes. And also this track is very different from my hometrack Wäxjö MS.

Much more braking skills required here and i need to train more.

Despite my much less time with these type of cars i think i made a good job. more experience and more practice and i might make this work alot better.

Tomorrow 26 oktober at 19.00 CET it is registration for DHI CUP 2011.
I have no idea if i wanna race Super Stock or Modified. I havent decided yet.

You who dont know, DHI CUP is one of the biggest events during the winter season indoors and is very big. The event is held in a huge and very nice congress center in Odense, Denmark.

I guess thats all for today! more to come before the weekend i guess when i am going to Borås MRK and driving my first race this season. It will be very interresting!

Today i went to my nearest racetrack and spent the day training.

I had some difficulties, first one was alot of oversteer from the car. I had the day before finnished my new bodyshell and my thought was it was to heavy in the rear or to high. Also i changed tires.

Now the car got alot more comfortable and was pretty stable trough the corners.

I also found that the ride height was way to low. Why i dont know. but i will investigate it! Becuse i left it the same as last time.

Todays practice was good, but becuse of my cold i couldnt concentrate properly in the begining. here are some pics from today and a little clip!

I couldnt take a picture of all laptimes becuse you wouldnt be able to see it. Todays fastest was 9.766 by me. ofc i was by myself……. The track was also very slippery from last time. So the grip has gone down ALOT.

The track! Way to slippery today. Dont know why but i couldnt manage to get much grip at all. But i guess the track is going back to normal haha. Last year it was probably even more slippery.

Like i said in my last update my old Bodyshell isnt really new anymore and it is trash. So today i finished my lasted bodyshell and mounted it.

But when i get time i will paint a new one, maybe send a paint job to

MND Designs in Gothenburg. he makes some nice bodyshells!

The one i got down here was a pain and i dont wanna do it again haha becuse it took so long time. Hire a pro is the way to go!

BTW! You are welcome to comment my blog, i know there are alot of people reading it.

Sorry for not being active the last 2 weeks or so. I have been busy doing other stuff. But now i have finally tested my new chassis from Exotek, The XR2 Lipo Chassis CF Version.

My first try with it was ok, but i had sauced the tires to long. I added for 20min instead of 10min. But my overall inpression was it got loads of grip! and i liked that

So going home with a best laptime of 9.989 i am pretty satisfied becuse it was my personal best.

Second try was today(sunday) and i gotta say, WOW! I dont know if it is my driving or the car but i did beat my best laptime with 6 tenths of a second! OMG! Thats a huge gap!

I think alot of that gap is becuse i am a better driver now after 2 training sessions. I have taken a huge step forward in my driving and now i am really enjoying to go fast. before i crashed everywhere and now i am driving laptimes between 9.5 and 9.7sec.

I felt so great so i just couldnt stop there! So i finally managed to do a laptime of 9.404! I think that laptime ofcourse can be beaten in the future, but thats when i feel i can handle the braking better.

It was awesome and hopefully i can drive more next sunday and hopefully beat that! Especially in my smoothness.
